Given that:- after getting 20% discount on pair of socks amount of the socks is $76.92

so as we know this amount we get when we get the amount of discount on socks and then subtract it from original cost

but in this case we do not know the original amount so now let the original cost be x

when we apply 20% on original amount then we get the amount of discount that is original cost- 76.92

now, x*20%= x-76.92

x*20/100=x-76.92

x/50=x-76.92

x=50(x-76.92)

x=50x-3846

x-50x=-3846

49x=3846

x=3846/49

x=$78.49        (Regular price of pair of socks)
