A function is classified as a rule, that assigns a specific variable to one element x in a given set, represented by f(x)

Functions are often considered for which set A and set B are set of real numbers and set D is the domain of the function. The number f(x) is the value of f at x, although it can interchange to any variable, such as f(t), f(p), f(d), etc. hence it must not be mistaken as a function. f(x) is the general term used to represent a function and read as, “f of x”. The range of f, is the set of all possible values of f(x) as x may vary throughout the domain of the function.
