A map basically is illustrated on a sheet of paper, whereas a globe is illustrated similarly like the shape of the world. Both figures showcase or contain the different places that can be found on Earth, hence one exception about a map is that it can contain only a specific location, whereas a globe on the other hand will always contain the places of the Earth.
