Density can be classified as the ratio between the mass of an object and it volume. It is also defined as the degree of packing of materials of matter, represented by the formula,

d = m/v

d = density

m = mass

v = volume

Example:

Determine the density of 4 kg box with a volume of 16 m^3.

d = m/v

d = 4 kg / 16 m^3

d = ¼ kg/m^3
