In order to express a fraction as a mixed number, what we do is we express this as a multiplication of 2 fractions, one of them should be equal to whole number and the other one should be a non dividable fraction.
In our case we can express it like this:
109/10=100/10 + 9/10
We know that 100/10=10
We also know that 9/10 is a non dividable fraction.
Our mixed number is 109/10= 10 9/10
