When there is a disruption in the physical state of nature, it will eventually go back to that state, although it may take on some time depending on what is being changed in nature. Similarly like the human body, nature is applying the process of homeostasis, or the tendency of the body(nature) to maintain internal stability. Homeostasis in the ecosystem is equilibrium, meaning that there is a balance number of organisms in an ecosystem. The population of organisms in an ecosystem is stable, although , these populations can change overtime considering the effect of climate change, and other factors, but in the short term, the number would eventually move up and down in cycles around an average value.
