The year 1836 is significant for several reasons, particularly in the context of American history. One of the most notable events of that year was the Battle of the Alamo during the Texas Revolution. From February 23 to March 6, a small group of Texan defenders held the Alamo mission in San Antonio against a much larger Mexican army led by General Antonio López de Santa Anna.
