For finding the next two numbers in the pattern of numbers; 45, 15, 44, 17, 40, 20, 31, 25, ...

We can see in the given series is a mixed series.

First are 45,44,40,31..….

There the difference between them is 1,4,9,… we can see the difference is form of the series 1^2,2^2,3^2,…..in increasing order

So the next number come when we substrate 4^2=16

Then the second number is 31-16= 15

Second are 15,17,20,25..….

There the difference between them is 2,3,5,… we can see the difference is a prim number in increasing order

So the next number come when we add 7

Then the second number is 25+7= 32

The series will be 45, 15, 44, 17, 40, 20, 31, 25, 15,32,…..
