What are the advantages and disadvantages when a community grows?

When a community grows, the first advantage that it gains is the increase in economic productivity, whereas, businesses, jobs, and employment emerge, giving an opportunity to people to earn money, and continue in contributing to the general welfare of the whole economy. The disadvantage on the other hand is that some people may take it as a competition, and conflicts might emerge as well considering social stigma. This is a prevalent factor due to the fact that we cannot avoid the misunderstandings and conflicts, that we can experience in a community.
