Then, Length be 2x - 4

Now, increased width be x + 6

And, increased length be 2x - 4 + 6 = 2x + 2

Then, Area of rectangle = Length × Width 

= (2x + 2) (x + 6)

= 2x² + 12x + 2x + 12
