The Least Common Multiple (LCM) of 5 and 6 is 30

There are two ways to determine the LCM of a number.

First by listing the multiples of 5 and 6

5, 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 35, 40

6, 12, 18, 24, 30,36, 42, 48

It can be seen that the least common multiple between the two numbers are 30.

Second method is by multiplying both numbers to determine the LCM

(5)(6) = 30

Although there might be some exceptions for numbers that are have a higher result, like for example finding for the LCM of 5 and 10

if we multiply both numbers the answer will 50, but through listing we can determine that 10 is the LCM, or you can simply check if the number is a factor of the corresponding number, since 5 is a factor of 10.
