|2x - 5| = 1

From equation 1,
2x - 5 = 1

2x = 6
x = 6/2
x = 3
From equation 2,
-(2x - 5) = 1
-2x + 5 = 1
2x = 5 - 1
2x = 4
x = 4/2
x = 2
So, value of x is 2 and 3.
