The pollen is made in the d.) anther

Pollen is usually produced in the stamen, but the specific part of the stamen that makes the pollen is called the anther. It is produced within a specific tissue called sporogenic tissue. In the sprogenic tissue, the developing pollen is nurtured by the different nutrients that it receives and it is coated with a cellulose  cellulose, which is a very strong plant protein.

During Pollen Formation, a large pollen mother cells are produced, which breaks into individual pollen grains through the process of  cell division. During this specific point, the pollen grain receive its outer coat, called the exine. The exine is made from another tough plant protein and it protects the delicate genetic material inside the pollen grain from cases such as water loss, damage caused by Ultraviolet radiation and other environmental causes.
