On the drawing for a house plan, the master bedroom is rectangular and has dimensions of 2.25 inches by 2.5 inches. If the scale of the drawing is 1/8 inch =1 foot, What is the actual area of the master bedroom?

Given that :- rectangular bedroom dimensions= 2.25 inches by 2.5 inches means length=2.25 inches and breath=2.5 inches
according to the question, 1/8 inches=1 foot
then 2.25 inches= 2.25/ 1/8 foot
Friction in denominator is reciprocal when we goes to numerator and multiplied by numerator digit
2.25*8/1=2.25*8
=18 foot
similarly, 2.5 inches=2.5/ 1/8 foot
=2.5* 8/1
=2.5*8
=20 foot
now length of rectangular room = 18 foot and breath= 20 foot
now, area of rectangular room = length*breath
=18*20
=360 square feet
so, the actual area of rectangular bedroom is 360 sq. ft.
