Lets try and write it mathematically this expression:
-10+7/4 x P = -38
Lets put the variables on one side and the numbers on the other side. Every variable or number that will change sides, will have their sign changed from a + into a - and vice versa.
7p/4 = -38+10
7p/4 = -28
Lets multiply both sides with 4.
(7p x 4)/4 = -28 x 4
7p = -28 x 4
7p = -112
Divide both sides with 7.
