Here, Mark's age is represented by M

And, Ashley's age is represented by A

So, according to question Mark is 15 years younger than Ashley which can be represented as

A = M + 15

A - M = 15 ….1

and, sum of their ages is 55. So,

A + M = 55 ….2

Hence, given data can be represented by equation 1 and 2.
