In order to find out what is his hourly pay rate we need to first find out how many hours we works in a week, and then from the total amount divide the hours in one week.

Lets try and find the hours he works in one week.

He works 5 days for 6 hours each day. So in one week he works  5*6=30hours a week.

He made for 30 hours the amount of $337.50.

So for 1 hour he makes X$

Cross multiply to find out his hourly rate, 30 times x equal to 337.50 times 1.

30x = 337.50

Divide both sides with 30.

30x/30 = 337.50/30

x = $11.25/hour
