DNA replication occurs in the nucleus in eukaryotic cells and in the nucleoid area of prokaryotic cells. Eukaryotic cells are cells that have a nucleus and membrane bound organelles, such as plant cells and animal cells. Eukaryotic cells contain their DNA in the nucleus in which the DNA replication may occur

DNA is a complex material that contains a long-chained molecule which contains the genetic meterial for developing and maintaining all living organisms.

Centrosomes and lysosomes are found in animal cells, but do not present in plant cells.
