Given : 3f+2g=30 ……(1)

and, f+2g=26 …..(2)

Solving by elimination method :

Subtracting equation (2) From equation (1), we get

3f + 2g - (f + 2g) = 30 - 26

3f + 2g - f - 2g = 4

2f = 4

dividing 2 from both sides, we get

2f/2 = 4/2

f = 2

Now, putting value of f in equation (1), we get

3(2) + 2g =30

6 + 2g = 30

2g = 30 -6

2g = 24

dividing 2 from both sides, we get

2g/2 = 24/2

g =12

Thus, the value of f and g are 2 and 12 respectively.
