Example: Add 2/15 and 5
step 1: first convert the whole number into a fraction by taking the denominator as 1, 5 in terms of a fraction is written as 5/1
step 2 : compare the denominators and make them common so that they become like fractions.
2/15 has 15 as the denominator, hence, we need to make the denominator of 5/1 as 15
Multiplying numerator and denominator with 15 we get,
(5 * 15) / (1 * 15) = 75/15
step 3 : Add the numerators of the two fractions.

2/15 + 75/15 = (2 + 75)/15 = 77/15
