The distance between moon and earth is average 384,400 km When we see the images then it look like very close together. That's really not true because actually it to far to the earth and this distance is 384,400 km that means it almost equal to 30 Earths.

Why it is average distance - Well we always denoted this distance in a average because Moon is not always the same distance to the earth. This orbit is not perfect a circle. The Moon definitely seems close because we can see it so well without a telescope.
