To DNA into RNA , we go through the process called transcription. Transcription is the first step in gene expression , process of copying genetic information from one strand of DNA into RNA . Principle of complementarity governs transcription ( except, adenine forms pair with uracil instead of thymine) . In transcription, only a segment of DNA and only one of the two strands is copied into RNA.

Now moving from RNA to amino acid ( protein) need to follow the process called translation. The mRNA is  pulled through the ribosome; as its codons encounter the ribosome's active site, the mRNA nucleotide sequence is translated into an amino acid sequence using the tRNAs as adaptors to add each amino acid in the correct sequence to the end of the growing polypeptide chain.
