In order to find our the perimeter of the triangle, you just add the sides together and sum them up.
In this case: 

P=3ft 8inch+ 2ft 10inch+ 4ft

P=9ft 18inch

Since 1 ft = 12 inch, we will express it as 1ft and 6 inches

P=9ft+1ft 6inches

P=10ft 6inches
