Given : Number of pencils = 72

number of erasers = 24

24 = 2 ×2×2×3

72 = 2×2×2×3×3

Hence, HCF of 24 and 72 is 24,

So, the total number of packages are 24.

Ratio of pencils and erasers = 72/24

                                                   = 3/1

So, each package will have 3 pencils and 1 eraser.
