Mean: The mean or average is calculated by adding up the scores and dividing the total by the number of scores.

Given that:- kim = 5 shirts, jill = 4 shirts, leslie = 6 shirts, Crystal= 1 shirt

mean= sum of all scores / total number of scores

sum of score= 5+4+6+1

                       = 16

total number of scores= 4

mean=16/4=4
