In adding fractions, it must be taken to note if they have the same denominator, if not then, you must find the least common denominator. In order to do so, check first if both the denominators are factor of one another, if not then you multiply the two denominators in order to find it's LCD. In the case of the given equation, 100 is factorable by 10, meaning that the least common denominator is 100.

To find for the first numerator, simply divide 100 by 10 since the denominator is 10, then multiply the answer to its numerator. 100/10 = 10

(10)(9) = 90

To find for the second numerator, divide 100 by 100, and multiply the answer to its numerator.

100/100 = 1

(1)(4) = 4

Since both now have denominators, we can simply add the two numbers

90/100 + 4/100 = 94/100

=94/100 or 0.94
