Formula :

Circumference of circle = 2πr

Area of circle = πr^2

we have,

Circumference = 6.28 units

so, 2πr = 6.28

r = 6.28/2π

we know, π≈3.14

so, r = 6.28/ 2*3.14

r = 1 unit

Now, Area = πr^2

                   = 3.14 *1^2

                   = 3.14 sq. units

Therefore, area of circle is 3.14 sq. units.
