A scientific theory differs from a scientific law, since a scientific theory is a just an assumption of a concept that encompasses the scientific world. This assumption can be based on facts, and opinions that were derived from the different sources, and it is supported by some evidences, although it is not widely accepted by the scientist. A scientific law on the other hand, is a fact that was concluded based on several evidences that support the credibility of the law, hence these laws are often applied in line with the formulas equated by the scientist that coined it. A few examples of a scientific law is the law of conservation of mass, and the law of thermodynamics.
