Correct question the function f(x)=x^2 -7x-18…..(1), in the form f(x)= a(x-h)^2 +k, where a, h, and k are constants

Solution By simply the equation

f(x)= a(x-h)^2 +k

f(x)= a(x^2+h^2-2xh) +k

f(x)=x^2+h^2-2xh+k,  where (a=1).by compare equation(1)

By doing comparison

x^2+h^2-2xh+k = x^2 -7x-18

2xh=7x

h= 7/2

Constant part

h^2+k=-18

(7/2)^2+k= -18

k= -18-(49/4)

k=-18-12.25

k=30.25 answer
