Producers(like grass) in a food chain is a general term for plants that are autotrophic(can produce their own food). If you are asking if there can be multiple Producers like a variety of grasses, trees, shrubs or vine, then the answer is yes. But collectively, they are called Producers. While consumers are Heterotrophs which means they are organisms that cannot prepare their own food and depend upon producers(autotrophs)for nutrition in order to survive.
