let the time is= x

when we remove total water evaporate from bath contain water then we can get remaining water :-

7/8-1/16 x=¼

(14-x)/16=¼

(14-x)4=16*1

56-4x=16

-4x=16-56

-4x=-40

x=10

when from 9 AM water going to evaporate and after 10 hours it remain with ¼ gallon of water

now from 9 am and after 10 hours time will be 7 pm .
