Okay so we know that Aaron has spent 30% of his money and now has $2100 left in his account. So in other words, he has not spent the 70% of all the money he had along. Lets try and create a ratio, to find out how much money he had with him. This unknown amount will call it X.
Since 70% are $2100.
Then 100% is $x.
Lets cross multiply , so 70 times x equal to 2100 times 100.
70x = 2100*100
70x =210000
Divide both sides with 70.
70x/70 = 210000/70
x = $3000
