A solid sphere of mass 0.6040 kg rolls without slipping along a horizontal surface with a translational speed of 5.080 m/s. It comes to an incline that makes an angle of 33.00° with the horizontal surface. To what vertical height above the horizontal surface does the sphere rise on the incline?

v= 5.08 m/s

g = 9.81m/s²

change in kinetic energy = change in gravitational potential energy

 = mv²/2 = mgh

Equate this in terms of h

h = v²/2g

h= (5.08)²/(2*9.81)

 h =1.3153 m
