According to the question , Area of Rectangle is twice of area of Square it means,

Area of Rectangle = Area of Square*2

Length*Breath= (Side*side)2

it is given that Length= 8 in.

                           Breath=4 in.

put there values in the formula

8*4=(Side^2)2

32=(side^2)2

32/2=side^2

16=side^2

side=square root of 16

side=4       (side of square)

Now, perimeter of square = 4*side

          perimeter of square =4*4

          perimeter of square  =16 in
