So, according to question, 

|x - 32| ≤ 8

Here, x is cost of medication. 

Opening modules function, we get

x - 32 ≤ 8

Adding 32 on both sides, we get

x - 32 ≤ 8 + 32

x ≤ 40

And, 

-(x - 32) ≥ 8

  • - x + 32 ≥ 8
  • x ≥  24

 

Hence, cost of medication is greater than or equal to 24 and less than or equal to 40.
