Okay so we have the ratio 1cm:4m. In order to find out how long is the real plane, we just need to create the ratio based on the information that we have. The length in real life since we don't know will call it X.

Since 1cm in the map is equal to 4m in real life,

Then 3 cm in the map is equal to x m in real life.

Cross multiply to find out the real length, 1 times x equal to 3 times 4.

x=4*3

x=12m long
