A field 210 ft by 300 ft is filled with birds. If there are approximately 2 birds per square yard, how many birds are there in the field?

Given : 

Length of field = 210 feet or 70 yards

[ As 1 yard = 3 feet ]

Width of field = 300 feet or 100 yards

So, 

Area of filed = Length × Width 

= 70 × 100 sq. Yards

= 7000 sq. Yards

Number of bird pee square yards = 2

So, total number of birds in field = 7000 × 2

= 14,000

 

Hence, there are 14,000 birds in the field.
