Lets try and create a ratio based on the information that we have. Lets call X the amount of meters in real life that is equal to 1 mm in the map.

If 24 mm in the map is equal to 96m in real life,

Then 1 mm in the map is equal to x m in real life.

Cross multiply to create the equation. 24 times x is equal to 1 times 96.

24x = 96

Divide both sides with 24.

24x/24 = 96/24

x=4m

So the ratio is 1mm : 4m
