Given :

Number of blue marbles = 6

Number of red marbles = 4

Number of yellow marbles = 2

Total marbles = 6 + 4 + 2

= 12

Formula :

Probability = favorable outcome/Total outcome

Probability of getting blue marble = 6/12

= 1/ 2

Now, we replace the blue marble. So, total marbles and N mber of blue marbles remain same.

Probability of getting blue marble = 6/12

= 1/ 2

Total probability = 1/ 2 × 1/ 2

= 1/ 4 or 0.25

Hence, probability of getting 2 blue marbles is 1/4 or 0.25
