So we have this equation 8(2x-3)-6x given. The best thing for us to do is to simplify it before rushing in substituting X=3

8(2x-3)-6x =

=16x-24-6x

=10x-24

In this case we can't simplify it anymore, so we will just substitute x=3 and we will get:

10*3-24=30-24=6
