Lets try and remove the brackets first so its easier for us to work. Since there is a - in front of (7-2x) then if we remove the brackets, the signs inside will switch from a + into a - and vice versa. So we will have:

-7+2x+7=-7

2x=-7

Divide both sides with 2.

2x/2=-7/2

x=-7/2
