Whenever we have an equation with more than 1 variable, in this case with 3 variables, x y and p, we need to separate our required variable in relation to the other variables.
In our case we need to solve for y, in other words, to separate y and to equal it with the rest of the equation.
First thing that we can do is to put all the Y in one side of the equation and put everything else on the other side. Every number and variable that will switch sides will change its sign from a + to a - and vice versa.
8y=6p-5x
Lets divide both sides with 8 in order to have y on its own.
8y/8 = (6p-5x)/8
y=(6p-5x)/8
