Lets try and remove the brackets by multiplying the number with the bracket there.

-4(2x-5)=-8x+20

3(x-15)=3x-45

So now we have:

-8x+20 = 3x-45

Lets put the variables on one side and the numbers on the other side. Every variable or number that will change signs, will have their sign changed from a + into a - and vice versa.

3x+8x=20+45

11x=65

Divide both sides with 11.

11x/11 = 65/11

x=5.909
