Lets try and remove the brackets first by multiplying 3 with (x+1).

3(x+1)=3x+3

3x-3x-3=3

The variables cancel themselves and we are left with 3=3 which is true.

As per the value of x, that can be every number we want and it wouldn't make a difference because in the end it cancels itself.
