We have,

2x+y=8     …1

x+y=4       …2

By elimination method. Subtracting equation 1 and 2, we get

2x + y - (x + y) = 8 - 4

2x + y - x - y = 4

x = 4

Now, putting value of x in equation 2, we get

4 + y = 4

y = 4 - 4

y = 0

Hence, The lines whose equations are given intersect at (4,0) all points on the line.
