Lets multiply the -1 with the first bracket and also -2 with the second bracket. Since they are negative numbers, when they will multiply with a positive number the result will be negative and when the multiply with a negative number the result will be positive.

-2x-3-2x+2=

Lets add the unknown values together and the numbers together.

-4x-1=

If we equal it with a 0 we will have this result.

-4x-1=0

-4x=1

Lets divide both sides with -4.

-4x/(-4) = 1/(-4)

x=1/(-4)
