Number of carrots picked by Olivia = 20

Number of carrots picked by Olivia's mother = 14

So, total number of carrots = 20+14

                                                = 34

Number of good carrots = 19

So, number of bad carrots = total carrots - good carrots

                                              = 34 - 19

                                              = 15

So, number of bad carrots were 15.
